Abstract

This law ratifies the FAO International Plant Protection Convention which was signed in Rome on 6 December 1951 and amended by the FAO Conference at its Twentieth Session (November 1979) (article 1 of the present law). The purpose of the Convention is to secure common and effective action to prevent the spread and introduction of pests of plants and plant products and to promote appropriate measures for their control.
