Abstract This Law establishes that payers of environmental fees for the use of wild fauna and wild flora species shall be natural and legal persons, including foreigners. Rates of environmental fees shall be subject to revision at least once in three years. Environmental fees for the use of wild fauna species, including fishes and other aquatic biological resources, shall be established in accordance with the Annex 1. Basic rates contained in the Annex 1 shall be used for the calculation of environmental fees for the use of wildlife objects for other purposes, specified in the Law on wildlife. Environmental fees for the use of wildlife objects shall not be applicable in the following cases: (a) protection of public health, prevention of diseases of agricultural and domestic animals, regulation of number of harmful animals; and (b) reproduction, stock enhancement and captive breeding of animals for scientific purposes.
