Abstract

This Law, consisting of 14 articles divided into four Chapters and one Annex, establishes collection and recycling measures for plant and animal oils aimed for cooking and their residues management throughout the State of Paraná in order to minimize the environmental impacts that their improper disposal may cause. Industrial and commercial establishments using oils and fats of animal or vegetable origin for the purpose of cooking or for the preparation of products to be marketed are responsible for the proper disposal of their residues, respecting the following aspects: need for adequate packaging in proper containers and properly closed, with identification of the collector, and the following labelling indicating: "Contains residue of oil and fat, unfit for human consumption"; of the route of the waste to the collection points accredited or licensed for this purpose or to the selective collection services..
