Abstract This Law, composed of 30 articles divided in five Chapters, regulates mining and geological activities. In particular, it applies to geologic studies, cartography, research, exploitation and commercialization of mineral resources. The Law provides a classification of mineral resources and related mineral reserves. Moreover, it regulates national control bodies and procedures over mining and other activities. Special attention is paid to environmental protection measures and licences for using explosives.
