This law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Law introduces total ban on fisheries, transportation, storage and export of precious and endemic fish species populated in the Issyk-Kul and Son-Kul lakes for the period of 5 years. It shall also be applicable to fish products, including caviar. The aforesaid prohibition shall not be applicable to fisheries for scientific research and to fish grown at hatcheries. In case of illegal fisheries fishing gear, fish and fish products shall be subject to confiscation and the infringers of this Law shall be subject to prosecution in accordance with the national legislation.
