Abstract This Law establishes the State Policy to Encourage Entrepreneurship for Rural Youth (PEEEJC), aiming to prepare young people to play the strategic role of rural development agent. PEEEJC has the following objectives: encourage the transformation of young people into entrepreneurial leaders; encourage the development of productive projects, to be developed by young farmers, as a way of enabling alternative work and income; improve skills, knowledge and practices that enable the efficient management of agricultural business, planning and governance of enterprises; encourage the development of skills related to non-agricultural activities with potential in rural areas; expand understanding of various aspects of sustainable rural development; promote the use of traditional knowledge associated with technological innovations and associative management tools for rural activities; awaken young people's interest in cooperative business and highlight its benefits for the competitiveness of products; encourage the creation of new rural enterprises and existing ones, through specific rural credit lines for rural youth, etc. Full text Portuguese Website leis.alesc.sc.gov.br
