Abstract This Law establishes the State Fund for Social Promotion and Eradication of Poverty (SOCIAL FUND) and other related measures. The SOCIAL FUND aims at enabling all residents of Santa Catarina to access decent subsistence levels, applying its resources to: I – supplementary actions in nutrition, housing, education, health and reinforcement of family income; II – programmes of relevant social interest, aimed at improving the quality of life; III – interest subsidies, in full or in part, for the creation, installation, reactivation, expansion or modernization of micro-enterprises, individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEIs), small-sized companies, cooperatives and self-management societies; IV – support to microcredit organizations and mechanisms; V – training of workers and managerial training of entrepreneurs; VI – investments in infrastructure to benefit companies in Santa Catarina that are installed or in the process of being set up, for the generation of jobs or expansion of the productive chain in Santa Catarina; VII – promotion of the development of the Municipalities of Santa Catarina, through financial support to municipal work plans, in the areas of logistical infrastructure and urban and rural mobility, basic sanitation, social assistance, etc.; VIII – support for social development programmes and actions, job and income generation and inclusion of social promotion, in rural and urban areas, etc. Full text Portuguese Website leis.alesc.sc.gov.br
