Abstract This Law creates the State Policy for Agroecological and Organic Production (PEAPO), with the aim of promoting and encouraging the development of agroecology and organic production systems and sustainable extractivism, as well as systems in agroecological transition processes, contributing to the sustainability and quality of life of populations in rural, forestry, and urban areas, through the supply and consumption of healthy food for everyone and the sustainable use of natural resources.
