Abstract This Law establishes the State Animal Health Protection, involving strategies and public policies to promote animal health, epidemiological surveillance and the preservation of the interests of the State economy and public health, observing standards for preserving the environment and animal well-being in the State of Roraima. The Roraima Agricultural Protection Agency (ADERR) is responsible for: planning, executing, coordinating, articulating with other sectors, evaluating and supervising Animal Health policies through general and special programmes, monitoring the transit of animals and their products and by-products of animal origin, and the commercialization of products for veterinary use and livestock inputs and other activities that are granted in the state of Roraima, observing the federal and state regulations in force.
