This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law amends article 2 of Law No. 10.883 on the permanent protection of Caryocar brasiliense, known as Pequi or "souari nut" fruit tree species. Amendments deal with administrative and legal proceedings and establishes that the responsible of the logging of this tree must reinstall the necessary planting material, as established by law and must monitor their development for a minimum period of 5 years, in order to guarantee the access to this fruit by involved local communities.
