Abstract

This Law establishes the State Family Farming Food Acquisition Programme (PEAAF) and provides for the institutional purchase of food from family farming, products from the dairy basin and the solidarity economy within the State of Pernambuco. PEAAF aims to guarantee the direct and indirect acquisition of agricultural, livestock, extractive, dairy products and products resulting from fishing activities, in natura and processed, produced by family farmers, artisanal fishers, livestock breeders, traditional communities and by beneficiaries of agrarian reform, which fall within the provisions of Federal Law No. 11.326 of 24 July 2006. The acquisition of food from family farming in the State of Pernambuco, through PEAAF, will be integrated and adapted to government policies and programmes that aim to ensure the human right to adequate food.
