Abstract

This Law, consisting 17 articles divided into four Chapters, establishes the State Policy to Support Cooperatives within the State of Acre. It specifies principles, objectives, guidelines, rules and instruments aimed at encouraging the activity of cooperative and its development in the State. The State Power is responsible to: create instruments and mechanisms that stimulate the continuous growth of activity Cooperative; to support technically and operationally cooperatives in the State; to stimulate the cooperative form of social, economic and cultural organization in the various branches of action within the State, based on the general principles of cooperative and current legislation; to promote the inclusion of the study of cooperatives in schools, aiming at the emergence and strengthening of a cooperative culture within the population and the diffusion of cooperative activity; to encourage the organization of production, consumption, credit, housing and services based on the principles of cooperatives; to promote studies, research and events in order to contribute to the development of the cooperative activity; Provide means for greater capacity building for co-operative suitors or associate citizens; to provide technical assistance with quality and efficiency to cooperatives based in the State; to stimulate and finance a cooperative training and capacity building program; and to establish financial and fiscal incentives for the creation and development of the cooperative system.
