Abstract This Law, consisting of 6 articles, establishes the requirements to be satisfied by freezing equipment for retail outlets and wholesalers that sell perishable food products. It specifies that retailer and wholesaler establishments that sell food products of any nature are compulsorily required to fulfill hygiene and sanitary requirements for refrigeration or freezing chambers and should keep such equipment connected continuously. In addition, the Law specifies that all equipments in the public areas must show necessary information for health surveillance where the establishment is located, as well as the telephone contact of Apevisa.
