This Law enters into force the day after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

Land Code (No. 2768-III of 2001) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Period of lease of agricultural land plots of drained land or with drainage and land reclamation works in course, destined for agricultural production, and smallholding, shall not be less than 10 years”. Law No.161-XIV “On lease of land” shall be amended to add the following wording: “In case of allotment on lease of plots of drained land or with drainage and land reclamation works in course destined for commercial agricultural production, farming and smallholding, the period of lease contract shall not be less than 10 years. The land lease contract must include tenant's obligation to invest in the development and modernization of appropriate reclamation systems and engineering infrastructure facilities and to promote their proper exploitation”.
