Abstract This Law, consisting of 4 Chapters, creates the State Policy on Food and Nutritional Security System within the State of Ceará. This Law establishes necessary mechanisms to apply the above mentioned Policy and creates the State Food and Nutritional Security System, establishing obligations and responsibilities of public administration in order to guarantee the Food Sovereignty the Human Right to an Adequate Nutrition, in the framework of a civil society participation, organized in designing policies, plans, programmes and activities oriented to Food and Nutritional Security. It is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); State Policy on Food and Nutritional Security (Chap. II); State Food and Nutritional Security System (Chap. III); Final provisions (Chap. IV).
