Abstract

This Law creates the Family Support Programme, called Bolsa Família under the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Combating Hunger, replacing the Auxílio Brasil Programme, established by Law No. 14.284 of 29 December 2021. The objectives of the Programme are: I - combat hunger, through direct transfer of income to beneficiary families; II - contribute to interrupting the cycle of reproduction of poverty between generations; III - promote the development and social protection of families, especially children, adolescents and young people in situations of poverty. Article 8 establishes that the financial benefits will be made to the family responsible, according to the data contained in the family's registration in CadÚnico; and preferably, to women.
