Abstract This Law, consisting of 8 Chapters, establishes protecting measures for the State forest preservation and conservation. It creates as well the State System for Natural Protected Areas, creates the State Council on Forests and the State Fund on Forests. This Law regulates native or cultivated forests use and management according to the ecosystem preservation legislation. This Law is divided as follows: Forestry Policy of the Acre State (Chap. I); State Public Forests (Chap. II); Forest conservation (Chap. III); Forest Natural Resources Use (Chap. IV); Promotion of Forest Sustainable Use (Chap. V); Forestry Sector Funding (Chap.
