This Policy aims at regulating and guiding the use and exploitation of natural resources within the coastal area of the State of Pernambuco, through adequate instruments, to improve the quality of life of local populations, to protect ecosystems, natural, cultural and historical heritages, etc. In addition, it aims at promoting the ecological balance considering the environment as a public heritage to be protected; promoting the use coastal land planning and use of natural resources, optimizing the control and management instruments to the coastal zone; planning and establishing baselines to mange socio-economic activities within coastal zones, in an integrated, decentralized and participated way, guaranteeing the sustainable use of natural resources existing in these areas; promoting and supporting the preservation, conservation, rehabilitation and control of representative coastal areas; promoting the development of research activities related to adaptation measures to mitigate climate change in these areas; etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.cprh.pe.gov.br
