Abstract This Law establishes strategic national priorities in the sphere of provision of early infancy with sufficient high quality and safe infant food with a view of realization of the constitutional right of children to health and life protection, and also establishes social and economic principles of state policy in this sphere. The State shall guarantee the right to protection of infant health and shall ensure healthy development of infancy, including rational nutrition thereof. The State shall adopt measures related to: (a) ensure sufficient availability of infant food manufactured from high quality raw materials; (b) provision of infancy with infant food for nursing mothers free of charge; (c) provision of parents and other legal representatives of infancy with nutritional information and access to infant food free of charge and on preferential terms; and (d) promotion of large-scale national production of infant food.
