This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 6 Chapters, approves the maritime zones under the National jurisdiction. It specifies the limits of the above mentioned maritime zones, including all the water of the National territory, such as: internal waters, high seas, territorial sea, contiguous zone, exclusive economic zone and the continental platform, in the terms established by the UN Convention on the Sea Right, approved in Montego Bay (Jamaica), on 10 December 1982. The Law is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Maritime zone limits (Chap. II); Maritime Frontiers and Geographical Coordinates (Chap. III); Powers of the State of Angola (Chap. IV); Vessel’s visit regime (Chap. V); Final provisions (Chap. VI).
