This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of six Chapters and 1 Annex, establishes the Basic Law on Electricity. It specifies the general principles of the legal regime related to production, generation, transmission, distribution and use of electricity in the country. The Law is divided as follows: General provisions (I); Public Electric System (II); Concessions (III); Licensing (IV); Tariffs and sale conditions (V); Final provisions (VI).
