Abstract This Law defines the procedure for organizing meals for pupils in the 1st-4th grades of state, municipal and private general education organizations of Kyrgyz Republic. The purpose of this Law is to create legal conditions for the provision of food to pupils of general education organizations in accordance with the menu that corresponds to physiological needs of their age in relation to nutritional substances and energy, and the principles of rational and balanced nutrition. The main tasks in organizing school feeding in general education organizations are: (a) reduction of social inequality of families; (b) creation of basic infrastructure using environmentally friendly methods of clean technology and methods; (c) ensuring food quality, balance and safety; and (d) compliance with the diet and the acquisition of knowledge by students of a healthy balanced diet.
