Abstract This Law establishes legal and organizational principles of standardization and is aimed at implementation of state policy in this sphere. It shall not be applicable to sanitary arrangements related to food safety, veterinary, sanitary and phytosanitary provisions, norms and standards. The objectives of standardization shall be as follows: (a) compliance of produce and objects with standards; (b) compatibility and interchangeability of the objects of standardization; (c) protection of human life and health; and (d) environmental protection and saving of all types of natural resources.
