Abstract This Law lays down the main legal, organizational and socio-economic principles of Ukraine's state policy concerning tourism and other related constitutional rights. It establishes principles of sustainable use of tourist resources and regulates the organization and promotion of tourism in Ukraine. The document consists of 8 sections divided into 37 articles. Section I (arts. 1-5) lays down general provisions. Section II (arts. 6-12) concerns state policy and state regulation-making in matter of tourism. Section III (arts. 13-16) regards safety of tourism. Section IV (arts. 17-25) regards tourist activities. Section V (arts. 26-28) deals with professional training of specialists, associations and non-profit organizations operating in the field tourism. Section VI (arts. 29-34) deals with control functions related to tourism and establishes liability for the infringement of the Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of tourism.
