This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 4 Chapters, regulates the National System of Transport (so called "Sistema Nacional de Viação - SNV"). It rules in particular for requirements to be satisfied in order to obtain a navigation licence at National and Federal level. This Law applies for any kind of transportation within the waters and territories under Brazilian jurisdiction and is divided as follows: Preliminary provisions (Chap. I); Federal and Sub-Federal Systems of Transport (Chap. II and III); State and Municipal Systems of Transport (Chap. IV); Final provisions (Chap. V).
