Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 4 Chapters, creates the State Policy on Climate Change. This Policy aims at designing and implementing the State Plan on Climate Change, Municipal plans and other plans, programmes, projects and related activities, which are directly or indirectly related to the above mentioned issue. This State Policy has the following principles: sustainable socio-economic development and environmental protection; protection of the climate system for next generations; prevention through preventive measures; adoption of measures in order to prevent any environmental damage and protect the human beings, etc. This Policy is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Principles, objectives and baselines (Chap. II); Environmenal tools to fight cilmate change (Chap. III); Final provisions (Chap. IV).
