This Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

The present Law shall introduce amendments to the Code on Administrative Offences of Ukraine. These amendments shall establish administrative responsibility for illegal sowing or illegal growing of soporific poppy in the amount of up to one hundred plants or hemps in the amount up to ten plants, which shall entail the imposition of a fine from eighteen to one hundred minimum tax-free personal incomes, along with confiscation of illegally grown drug-containing plants. Also, the present law shall establish criminal responsibility for illegal sowing or illegal growing of soporific poppy in the amount from one hundred to five hundred plants or hemps in the amount from ten to fifty plants, along with the imposition of a fine from one hundred to five hundred minimum tax-free personal incomes or arrest for the period up to six months or the restraint of liberty for the period up to three years.
