Abstract This Law, consisting of 14 articles, creates the Animal Health Protection within the State of Paraná. Animal Health Protection, is a fundamental instrument for the production and productivity of livestock as a responsibility of the State, being responsible for the definition and enforcement of the animal sanitary rules of the State. The Executive, through the State Department of Agriculture and Supply, establish procedures, practices, prohibitions and necessary provisions for animal health protection, including prophylaxis, taxes, control and eradication of diseases including by eliminating animals.
