Abstract This Law, consisting of 10 articles, creates the Incentive Programme for the Production of Regional Fruit Pulps by small farmers within the State of Mato Grosso. This Law considers as a rural family establishment for the production of fruit pulp located in the rural areas which is under the responsibility of family farmers or family entrepreneurs and that meets the criteria set in Federal Law 11.326 of 24 July 2006. The State may work in partnership with unions, cooperatives and associations of rural producers to implement the programme with small farmers. Unions, Cooperatives and Associations of Rural Producers must keep up with their certificates. For the purpose of labelling and registration, the name of the products may be increased by one of the following expressions: I - "artisanal"; II - "homemade"; or III - "colonial". The labelling on the package containing the fruit pulp produced in a rural family establishment shall state the following standards: name of the product; name of the family farmer and the address of the rural property where it was produced; and other needed information.
