Abstract

This Law, consisting of 22 articles, provides for registration, control and inspection of small-scale agroindustries dealing with products and by-products of animal origin destined for intermunicipal marketing, within the boundaries of the State of Espírito Santo. It is incumbent upon the Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Protection of Espírito Santo (IDAF) to regulate, register, supervise and manage sanitary and technological inspection of products and by-products of animal origin, to guide and train technical staff, monitor and supervise above mentioned activities. In addition, IDAF aims to promote the supervision, at the state level, of the compliance with enforced legislation. Small agroindustrial establishments dealing with animal origin products in the entire State of Espírito Santo may only operate under the current legislation and prior registration with a competent body. The Law applies for the monitoring and inspection of the following animal products: meat and its derivatives; fish and fish products; milk and milk products; eggs and their derivatives; bees product and its derivatives.
