Abstract This Law amends Law No. 6.338 of 3 December 1993, as amended by Law No. 422 of 28 December 2005. Amendments deal with the following issues: INDEA/MT may conclude a Cooperation Agreement and/or Partnership Agreement with entities related to public or private non-profit sectors, with the purpose of enabling, developing or optimizing the activities of industrial and sanitary inspection and execution of products of animal origin. The industrial and sanitary inspection of products of animal origin in establishments participating in the Brazilian System of Inspection of Agricultural Products and Inputs must, necessarily, be performed by an official veterinarian.
