Abstract This Law, consisting of 10 articles and one Annex, creates the State Forestry Institute of Amapá (IEF/AP). It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of IEF/AP, as a state authority, with legal personality under public law, linked to the State Department of Environment (SEMA), with administrative and financial autonomy, headquarters and jurisdiction in the Macapá Region. IEF/AP becomes part of the State System of Conservation Units (SISEUC) dealt with article 21 of Complementary Law No. 005 of 18 August 1994.
