Abstract This Law amends Law No. 6.338 of 3 December 1993. Amendments deal with the following issues: The State Department of Economic Development (SEDEC), through the Institute of Agricultural and Livestock Protection of the State of Mato Grosso (INDEA/MT), has to comply with the norms established in this Law and in complementary norms; INDEA/MT is responsible for signing partnerships and/or agreements with public or private entities, non-profit organizations, with the objective of enabling, developing or optimizing the industrial and sanitary inspections on products of animal origin; The industrial and sanitary inspection of products of animal origin in establishments that participate in the Brazilian System of Inspection of Agricultural Products and Inputs (SISBI) must be performed, by official veterinarian; Any industrial establishment and warehouse of products of animal origin may only work after previous registration, according to regulation and other acts issued by the competent agency of the State Secretariat for Economic Development (SEDEC).
