Abstract This Law, consisting of 11 articles, provides for the mandatory use of hygienic seal for canned beverages and other foodstuff in the State of Paraíba. Beverage manufacturers and other foodstuffs packaged in aluminum cans within the Paraíba State are obliged to apply hygienic seal on the top of the container to prevent the contact of the mouth from infections. Foodstuff packaged in aluminum cans may only be marketed in the State of Paraíba with the proper implementation of hygienic seal. People responsible for violations of not complying with the precepts of this law and other legal instruments will be punished by the competent body of the State.
