Abstract This Law is composed of 21 articles. Terms and definitions are given in articles 1 and 2. Article 3 specifies the fields of the profession. A veterinarian shall be able to practice once authorized by the Minister (art. 3). Requirements for practicing this profession are listed in article 5. The application for practicing this profession shall be presented to the Minister (art. 6). The Minister shall decide within 60 days from the date of the presentation of the application (art. 7). The Minister may issue a licence for an Arabic foreigner veterinarian, which shall be valid for 1 year, renewable (art. 8). The Minister, by a resolution, may authorize veterinary clinics, laboratories, stores, pharmacies and offices for consultation (art. 9). The Minister with the cooperation of the Trade Union shall issue the dispositions necessary for the inspection on animal farms (art. 12). Slaughtering shall be executed in slaughterhouses (art. 14).
