Abstract This Law covers all natural and legal persons, as well as Hungarian branch of the foreign-based enterprise in Hungary, unless the law provides otherwise. This Law states that it is forbidden to carry out economic activity dishonestly - especially in a way that violates or endangers the legitimate interests of customers, users and/or competitors, or in a way that conflicts with the requirements of business integrity. It is further forbidden to damage or endanger the good reputation or creditworthiness of the competitor by stating or spreading rumors of untrue facts, as well as by misrepresenting real facts, as well as by other conduct. It is forbidden to make unfair calls to others that aim to terminate an existing economic relationship with a third party or to prevent the establishment of such a relationship. It is also forbidden to produce, distribute or advertise a marketable movable thing or service with a distinctive appearance, packaging, marking - including the designation of origin - or name, as well as a name, trademark or other marking without the consent of the competitor to use, which is used to recognize the competitor, or its product or service.
