Abstract

These Regulations grant powers to the Minister to issue to a person a permit to cut or remove timber from any Crown land and prohibits any removal of timber from Crown lands without a permit. The Regulations also prescribe the payment of a royalty to the Minister according to the quantity of timber cut or removed from Crown lands. The Regulations also prohibit cutting of timber within a specified range of the high water mark and prescribes penalties for illegal cutting or removal of timber.
