Abstract

This Regulation implements provisions of the Land Registration Act with respect to documentation of procedures for the registration of titles in land. Regulation 3 sets out general requirements for documents lodged with the Registrar. A State lease shall be prepared on suitable material of a quality approved by the Registrar, and in accordance with the requirements of the Act. Where a document is presented for registration that is: (a) a lease for a term of 10 years or greater; or (b) a lease for a term of less than 10 years for an area in respect of which a survey is necessary in the opinion of the Registrar accurately to define the area; or (c) a lease that deals with part only of a title, the Registrar may require a survey plan or such information as the Registrar considers necessary.
