The Registrar is charged with keeping Record Books, in which instruments shall be registered. The Registrar also marks every instrument and issues the certificate of registration in accordance with the prescribed form within the schedule of the Act. The Act also validates instruments registered under the provisions of previous and repealed legislations. A person who destroys or falsifies register books shall be liable under this Act for a felony and shall serve a prison term of seven years. Full text English
