The remaining provisions of this Act commence on a day to be fixed by proclamation. Abstract The purpose of this Act, consisting of 67 sections divided into seven Parts and completed by one Schedule, is to provide for a way to facilitate the timely resolution of disputes between parties to conduct and compensation agreements and parties to make good agreements. The purpose is to be achieved mainly by: (a) providing for the appointment of a land access ombudsman; and (b) establishing the Office of the Land Access Ombudsman; and (c) authorizing the land access ombudsman to investigate, and facilitate the timely resolution of, disputes about conduct and compensation agreements and make good agreements.
