Abstract

This Chapter of the South Carolina Code of Laws provides for the Lake Wylie Marine Commission. It provides that the three counties may by joint ordinance create the Lake Wylie Marine Commission. Upon its creation, the commission has the powers, duties, and responsibilities conferred upon it by joint ordinance subject to the laws of each applicable state. The “Three counties” means Mecklenburg and Gaston Counties, North Carolina, and York County, South Carolina. “Lake Wylie” means the impounded body of water along the Catawba River in the three counties extending from the base of Mountain Island Dam downstream to the Catawba Dam.
