Abstract Section 1 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that the “Lake of the Woods Control Board Act” is continued. The Board shall secure, severally and at all times, the most dependable flow, and the most advantageous and beneficial use, of: a) the waters of the Winnipeg River; and b) the waters of the English River; and for those purposes the Board may c) regulate and control the outflow of the waters of the Lake of the Woods; d) regulate and control the outflow of the waters of Lac Seul so as to maintain the level of the lake between such elevations as the Board may from time to time recommend and as are approved by the Governor General in Council, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario in Council, and the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba in Council.
