The Agreement is related to the management of water and other natural resources in the Lake Eyre basin with a view at avoiding or eliminating adverse cross-border impacts. The Agreement sets guiding principles for carrying out activities in the basin and constitutes and regulates the Ministerial Forum as the institutional infrastructure for the implementation of the Agreement.
