Abstract

These Regulations provide for the notification of the identification number of a bovine carcase in a knackery. “Knackery” means an establishment approved in accordance with the European Union (Animal By-Products) Regulations, 2014, as a Category 2 Intermediate Plant (Knackery) to handle animal by-products after their collection. The operator of a knackery shall, in respect of a bovine carcase received at the establishment consigned from land or premises where bovines are kept for farming purpose
