Abstract

For the purpose of implementing Section 16 of the King Mahendra Nature Conservation Trust Act, 1982, the present Rules concern inter alia: (a) arrangements for staff and advisors; (b) employment on contract; (c) remuneration of Chairman, Members, or other office-bearers; (c) collection of funds or procurement of assistance; (d) donors; (e) investment; (f) exemption from duties and taxes, etc. Functions of the Trust, set out in Section 9, cover the planting of trees, the conservation of soil and water, technical assistance in matter of national parks and wildlife conservation, scientific research, formulation of the long-term plan of the Trust, etc.
