Abstract

These Bye-laws of the Kgatleng District Council introduce measures to control wandering livestock in village areas specified in the First Schedule. The Council may authorize persons to seize and destroy wandering livestock. The Bye-laws also empower the Council to prohibit the use of stables which in the opinion of the Council ought not to be used for the keeping of livestock by reason of its situation, construction, condition or the habitual manner of its use. The Bye-laws furthermore define offences of nuisance in relation with the keeping or letting loose of (harmful) animals.
