Abstract

This Order establishes the Kenya Oilcrops Development Authority. The Authority shall be a body corporate and its functions shall be coordinated by the Oilseeds Development Council established under article 4. The Authority shall promote and foster effective development of oilcrops for the production of oilseeds and vegetable oil, in any suitable area of Kenya. An Oilseeds Development Fund is established under article 23. Powers of the Authority are outlined in article 24. The Council may, with the approval of the Minister for Agriculture, make Orders for the better carrying out of its functions. Some of the matters that may be prescribed by such Orders are outlined in article 25.
