Abstract

These Rules implement provisions of the Karnataka Marine Fishing (Regulations) Act, 1986. Applications for a licence for a fishing vessel or renewal of a licence shall be made in Form 1. Section 4 specifies fees for licences. The grant of a licence shall be in Form II. Particulars of a licence shall be registered by authorized Officers in Form III. Applications for registration of fishing vessels shall be in Form IV, whereas Form V contains specimen of registration certificate. Section 8 provides for inspection of registration certificates. A vessel may be impounded in accordance with rule 10, and fish of that vessel disposed accordance with rule 11. Remaining provisions deal with arbitration and appeal. (15 rules)
