The Act establishes the Kakamega County Urban Water and Sanitation Corporation as a legal person, charged with providing and managing water and sanitation services alongside other actors in the County, develop and manage works for water conservation, develop adequate water supply system for domestic, industrial, livestock and agricultural purposes, develop and manage public infrastructure for storm water management, maintain database related to water and sewerage services, etc. The Act also provides for the composition of the Board for the Corporation and incidental matters.
