The purpose of the Bloc is, among other things, to act together to leverage economies of scale in the Lake Region, facilitate access to wider market, enhance food security through a coordinated agricultural strategy, and ensure the mainstreaming of gender, persons with disability and the youth in the social, economic and technological development.
